Shown on this slide are some additional features that add to the flexibility offered by the LTM2883. A separate logic supply pin, VL, allows the LTM2883 to interface with any logic signal from 1.62V to 5.5V. Simply connect the desired logic supply to VL. Note that there is no interdependency between the main supply and VL; they may simultaneously operate at any voltage within their specified operating ranges and sequence in any order. High ±10kV of ESD human body model across the isolation barrier increases the ruggedness of the LTM2883 while eliminating the need for external protection devices. Similarly, a common mode working voltage of 560VPEAK provides a more robust and reliable isolation during steady state operation. An ON pin provides the ability to place the LTM2883 in shutdown mode, consuming less than 10µA. This places all digital outputs in a high impedance state, while un-powering the isolated side. The LTM2883 is offered in 3.3V and 5V supply versions, and have guaranteed specifications up to 105°C. The LTM2883 is housed in a 15mm x 11.25mm surface mount BGA package; all integrated circuits and passive components are housed in this Linear Technology, RoHS-compliant μModule® isolator. These devices may also be ordered in an electroplated lead-tin finish.
