There are multiple applications for super-junction MOSFETs. The lower RDS(ON) reduces losses in the system and allows higher switching speed, which is required in many kinds of power supplies, for example in server applications, chargers, adapters, lighting and consumer electronics. This is also a benefit in high voltage EV applications, where designers need to reduce losses to extend the battery lifetime.
